WHO:
P.U.P.I.L. and Arts R Prevention are 501(c) (3) nonprofit organizations, dedicated to serving Youth And Young Adults in the Arts. P.U.P.I.L.’s Music and Entertainment Development Program called RHYTHMTECH is a holistic approach to sharpening ones skills in the entertainment world. It is a valuable tool for all artists whether beginner or seasoned. It is the combined application of many artistic and spiritual disciplines through a series of classes and workshops that include Modern Technology, Traditional techniques and disciplines, Law, All Medicine, Martial Arts, Biology, Production, Dance, Acting, Music, Comedy, Drama and other arts etc. Including Music Technology/M.I.D.I. Music Classes, Songwriting Classes, Breathing and Meditation Classes, Vocal Coaching Classes, and Career Internship.
RHYTHMTECH and Arts R Prevention together are designed to be a combined study of modern technology in music, the biology and technology of music and vocal production, physical well being and vocal production, music industry practices and laws, applied acting and dramatic performances techniques to other performing and non-performing arts, applied martial arts, internal medicine, and hands on training in the many entertainment fields of study. This program is designed to cultivate the artist and groom them holistically, so they can become whole artists. A whole artist is defined as a DIVA, meaning Divinely Inspired Versatile Artist. One who has full understanding of their skills and natural given gifts and talents in the performing and non performing arts. One who also may achieve their highest goals through them, as well as bringing about the responses and reactions they want from their audiences and the people they serve.
WHAT:
The RHYTHMTECH and Arts R Prevention program is broken up into two SESSIONS, one 6 week interval and one 12 week interval. The first 6 weeks is Artist Development. The second 12 weeks session is optional. In this session students will learn and run their own record label, perform live concerts, and promote in store signings.The advance program is a youth run-record label where we audition talented young producers, music executives, and artists from Atlanta area and guide them through intense performance writing, business plan production, and marketing training which results in a professionally produced album every year.. The student run label seeks to provide students the opportunity to see first hand the daily intricacies of the recording and entertainment industries. Through experiential based learning, students will be exposed to: marketing concepts, music publishing, music books and magazines, production, and distribution and sales of recorded music.
HOW:
The RhythmTech Workshop will be held in 1 hour segments on Wednesdays , for 6 weeks, targeting students within the age range of 9 thru 21 years of age.
The Simulated Record Label Training will be held in 2 to 3 hour segments on Monday, Tuesdays and Thursday, for 12 weeks, targeting students within the age range of 14 thru 21 years of age. Students will receive 16-18 hr of business of music workshops/training which will introduce youth to the world of the Music & Entertainment Industry behind the scene careers. Students will receive 30-40 hrs of Simulated Record Label Training and the opportunity to produce and sale their own recordings, as well as live concert performances and in store signings.
